Terms and Conditions Optional Services   
 
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the meanings of the following words or terms are set forth, regardless of their use in the plural or singular:  
 
DESTINATION CITY. It is the city where ESTAFETA will deliver the SHIPMENT according to the DELIVERY ADDRESS indicated by the SENDER.  
 
COVERAGE. - It refers to the zip codes where ESTAFETA has delivery and/or pick up service nationwide and varies according to the type of SERVICE contracted.  
 
RECIPIENT. The person to whom the SHIPMENT is addressed according to the WAYBILL data.  
 
DESTINATION ADDRESS. - It is the address designated by the SENDER for the delivery of the SHIPMENT, which is included in the GUIDE and where ESTAFETA delivers it.  
 
PICK UP DELIVERY. - Delivery mode where the RECIPIENT with official identification, or person with simple power of attorney, goes directly to any of the ESTAFETA branches (according to the list on the page www.estafeta.com), to pick up the SHIPMENT.  
 
SHIPMENT. - It is the envelope or package properly packed and labeled, which will be transported and delivered by ESTAFETA to the DESTINATION ADDRESS.  
 
DELIVERY WARRANTY. - It is the maximum time in which ESTAFETA must deliver the SHIPMENTS covered by a GUIDE according to the contracted SERVICE and the corresponding coverage.  
 
MI ESTAFETA. - Website owned by ESTAFETA where registered customers can plan, schedule, and create their pickup orders, consult operational reports on the status of their SHIPMENTS, among other functionalities.  
 
ESTAFETA WEB PAGE: Internet site http://www.estafeta.com/ that ESTAFETA makes available to the CUSTOMER and the RECIPIENTS to obtain information about their SHIPMENTS.  
 
SENDER. - Person who sends the courier and parcel service.  
 
OPTIONAL SERVICES. - These are the value added activities that ESTAFETA may perform, which consist of, but are not limited to: Change of Destination Address, Change to Estafeta branch, Change of Date, and deliveries on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), Extended Delivery, Detention of Shipment.  
 
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES  
 
With the OPTIONAL SERVICES the SENDER OR RECIPIENT will be able to decide where, when and at what time to receive or pick up their SHIPMENT, making their request by tracking it from any of Estafeta's communication channels.  
 
The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may reschedule the delivery of their SHIPMENT, such as changing the DESTINATION ADDRESS, selecting an Estafeta Branch, changing the delivery date, or requesting that their SHIPMENT be delivered during extended hours (18:00 to 22:00 hrs) and in case of being the SENDER, requesting the detention of the SHIPMENT.  
 
These new OPTIONAL SERVICES are available for SHIPMENTS with the DESTINATION ADDRESS to participating cities such as:  Mexico City and Metropolitan Area, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.  
 
OPTIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE: The OPTIONAL SERVICES that the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may choose are:  
 
1. CHANGE OF DESTINATION ADDRESS: The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may request the change of the DESTINATION ADDRESS of delivery of their SHIPMENT to a new home address as long as the ZIP CODE of the DESTINATION ADDRESS corresponds to one of the participating cities, likewise the new ZIP CODE of the DESTINATION ADDRESS must belong to the same original DESTINATION CITY, example:  
 
Original ZIP Code CDMX - change to CDMX or Metropolitan Area ZIP Code = APPLICABLE  
 
Original CDMX ZIP Code - change to Merida ZIP Code = NOT APPLICABLE  
 
The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT will select a delivery commitment date, from a list of 5 new available dates after the original delivery date based on Estafeta's delivery frequency and COVERAGE. The OPTIONAL SERVICE will be delivered on a new date selected in an open schedule from 09:00 to 18 hrs.  
 
2. CHANGE OF ESTAFETA BRANCH: The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may change the delivery of their SHIPMENT to the most convenient Branch, by selecting from a list of available Estafeta Branches, Dealers, Convenience Stores and Contact Points (Estafeta Allied Network) within a 5 km radius of the new ZIP Code entered in the application.  
 
In the event that the ZIP Code entered is Forced Pick Up or does not have COVERAGE, the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT will have the option to enter another ZIP Code or change the delivery to another branch.  
 
Estafeta will assign a delivery commitment date based on the delivery frequency of the selected Branch.  
 
The OPTIONAL SERVICE will be delivered on a new selected date during open hours from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs.  
 
3. DATE CHANGE AND WEEKEND DELIVERY (Saturdays and Sundays).  
 
The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may select a new delivery date within a period of up to 15 calendar days (Monday to Sunday) after the estimated delivery date, the availability of dates varies according to the frequency of delivery and COVERAGE of the zip code of the DESTINATION ADDRESS.  
 
The OPTIONAL SERVICE will be delivered on a new selected date during open hours from 09:00 to 14 hrs.  
 
If the ZIP code of the DESTINATION ADDRESS does not have COVERAGE on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), only Monday through Friday will be shown as available and according to the delivery frequency.  
 
4. EXTENDED DELIVERY (open hours from 18:00 to 22:00 hrs).  
 
The SENDER and/or RECIPIENT may select to have their SHIPMENT delivered Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the estimated delivery date. If the ZIP code of the DESTINATION ADDRESS does not have extended hours delivery COVERAGE this option will not be available.  
 
The OPTIONAL SERVICE will be delivered on a new selected date and at the selected time.  
 
This service does not apply to deliveries to Estafeta branches.  
 
5. SHIPMENT DETENTION.  
 
If this OPTIONAL SERVICE is selected, only the SENDER may request the detention of 1 or more SHIPMENTS prior to delivery to the RECIPIENT. Once the request is completed, each SHIPMENT will be assigned a return waybill (Return Waybill at SENDER'S cost), in order for the SHIPMENT to be returned to the SENDER'S address.  
 
The request for a SHIPMENT hold cancels any previous rescheduling.  
 
In case of a massive SENDING detention, the SENDER will be able to do it from MI ESTAFETA platform, for further questions please contact your account executive.  
 
GENERAL:  
 
These OPTIONAL SERVICES apply only for guides with national warranty: Next Day, Two Days, Terrestrial and 9:30 and 11:30 guarantees, in sporadic, prepaid with credit, prepaid without credit and consumption mode, which have been issued from the different Estafeta systems. It does not apply to other types of warranties and warranties with additional services.  
 
For the OPTIONAL SERVICES to be enabled, the 10-digit cell phone number and/or e-mail of the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT must be registered -from the issuance of the waybill-.  
 
These OPTIONAL SERVICES do not imply any additional cost for the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT.  
 
If eligible for OPTIONAL SERVICES, Estafeta will enable the option to select an OPTIONAL SERVICE when tracking your SHIPMENT on Estafeta's channels. Estafeta may trigger an email and/or SMS notification to the RECIPIENT to make them aware that they are eligible for an OPTIONAL SERVICE.  
 
The request for OPTIONAL SERVICES may not be fulfilled if the SHIPMENT is in any of the following situations:  
 
-Delivered   
 
-Service Canceled   
 
-Second delivery visit   
 
-Third delivery visit   
 
-Time elapsed in branch (Estafeta Branch or Estafeta Allied Network).  
 
-Route theft   
 
-Service or waybill canceled   
 
-Lost, stolen, or misplaced shipment.  
 
-Shipment in custody or retained by the authority.  
 
-With active service report (for incorrect delivery, damaged shipment, shipment with theft, coordinate to Estafeta office, return to sender, shipment with fraud mark).  
 
On request for OPTIONAL SERVICES.  
 
SENDER or RECIPIENT will be able to reschedule the delivery of their SHIPMENT by tracking it from: estafeta.com, Estafeta Mobile APP, WhatsApp, Chatweb, Apple Business Chat and other available channels. To complete the request for rescheduling the SHIPMENT, the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT must correctly enter the Validation Code that Estafeta will send to the registered email or cell phone (SMS).  
 
The OPTIONAL SERVICES will be enabled once the SHIPMENT has entered the Estafeta network and before the SHIPMENT is routed for delivery to the DESTINATION ADDRESS, and in case the RECIPIENT is not at his/her address for delivery of the SHIPMENT on the first delivery visit, the OPTIONAL SERVICE will be available again for the SENDER and/or RECIPIENT.  
 
The SHIPPER and/or RECIPIENT will have up to 2 opportunities to reschedule, change or cancel their request for OPTIONAL SERVICES, provided they meet the criteria for enabling OPTIONAL SERVICES.  
 
The DELIVERY GUARANTEE for those SHIPMENTS where an OPTIONAL SERVICE is requested will cease to be effective.
